Winter Formal photo archive. Nothing like some good clean formal fun with friends! I opted for creamy sheer fabric, an asymmetrical cut, and a rosy-gold hue, adding a fair amount of class to the sequined bandeau portion of the dress (which, by the way, arrived in the mail 45 minutes before I left - stressful times). This dress proved to be highly ranking in the category of dress twirling. Not only did it hold its own in the looks category, but it provided me with further entertainment as I twirled and swished my way across the dance floor. Such a fun, carefree night - good thing I took advantage of it, since it will be one of the last weekends of my youth! The big 18th is in a week and a half. How time flies!

Updates
San Francisco adventures, halloween, Footloose, getting lost in parking garages, GNOs, nutella and strawberry crepes consumed before you could say "bon appetite.." basically everything missed photo-wise in these weeks of hiatus. My apologies for my disappearance lately - college apps combined with four AP/honors classes, work, and youth group seem to have gotten the best of me. With my first application deadline coming up on December 1st, have no fear; I will be posting more frequently very soon! In the meantime, happy late halloween! xoxo

Steel Magnolias
This post's strong accentuation of soft, feminine colors combined with a thoroughly industrial setting reminded me of the women in Steel Magnolias; pretty and delicate, yet at the same time, as tough as nails. As of late, it has been a blast playing the part of Shelby in a production of Steel Magnolias I am currently working on. Such a great show. You know what else is great? Thrifting vintage Levi's like these and chopping the legs off to transform them into cute new high waisted shorts. These are now my most comfortable pair of shorts, all mine $6.50 and five minutes of DIY-ing later.

GNO
Had a lovely sushi dinner for girl's night out. Great way to start the year off: delicious food, dressing up, and fun company. You just can't go wrong with vegetable tempura♥. In the process I discovered my new infatuation with fried ice cream. The perfect balance of hot and cold, salty and sweet, crunchy and creamy. It's the new pazooki.
